Chroma City by David Parker (2022) showing at Ollie Quinn, 39 Gardner Street, Brighton, BN1 1UN.

Chroma City is a video installation utilising a giant kaleidoscope.  The installation takes footage shot around the local area and renders it abstract and mesmerising.

Familiar scenes become complex and beautiful patterns of colour, line and texture.  A different way to see the world.

The locations and images featured in the work are:

Whitehawk Hill, Hove seafront sunrise, Lancing starling murmuration, Prince Albert pub, Hove Bandstand, Blaker Street, Kemptown, Hove Beach Huts, St Margarets Church, Rottingdean

David Parker is an artist and producer, working in moving image.

He is also the Artistic Director of Figment Arts.

Chroma City is presented as part of Third Thursdays’ commissioning programme.

Thanks to Ollie Quinn for supporting Third Thursdays and being part of the programme.
